Gerard Stier, Gerard Stier, a 21 Year Real Estate Veteran, has distinguished himself several times as the firm’s top annual producer. Uniquely, Gerard has a long list of clients who’ve become friends as well as a long list of friends who’ve become clients
“I’ve done business with most of my clients at least twice. And - while I’m proud of my success as well as my market and industry knowledge - I’m most proud of my high rate of return clients. I believe my repeat business is as high as it is because of my facilitator perspective: I’m there to help my clients fulfill their goals. I’m not out to do anything but assist them. Essentially, I treat every client as a friend.
Gerard is part of a family of realtors active in Nantucket, Miami, and the Dominican Republic. Prior to launching his real estate career, he worked in the investment industry as stockbroker, foreign exchange broker and manager of quality assurance at Pershing, the investment clearing house. “I learned a great deal in my earlier career about personal finance as well as client relations. Both disciplines have served me well in real estate. One embodies fiscal know-how and the other is all about credibility, integrity and trust as well as accessibility and communications.
A graduate of Morristown Beard High School and Ohio Wesleyan University, where he majored in International Business, Gerard also studied in Florence, Italy. “I’d like to say Italy is where I developed an interest in cooking, but it was actually at home in New Jersey. My father who had learned from his mother was a chef by hobby, and I learned from him. Creating new dishes is my forte and serves as my creative outlet.
Gerard also takes pleasure in wine, golf and visiting the Dominican Republic and Montauk which he’s been visiting since he was 9. And he has fond memories of working for Yogi Berra while in middle school. “Yogi, a family friend, hired me to handle buckets of his fan mail. Just being around him made the work a non-job.
